It comes from olives of the Picual variety. The olive grove is cultivated in a traditional and ecological way.
The olives from which this EVOO is obtained were in their initial veraison stage (purple color) during the harvest. This single-varietal Picual is well structured, harmonious and persistent.
This oil has been awarded as the best among organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils from the province of Jaén in the Jaén Selección 2021 contest, organized by the Jaén Provincial Council.
On the nose, it has an intense aroma of green olive, full of vitality and freshness. The aromas of green leaves, wood and almond stand out, along with notes of vegetables such as green tomato and artichoke, and fresh fruits such as banana peel and apple, which gives it great aromatic complexity.
On the palate it is powerful and consistent with the olfactory impressions, with a medium bitterness and a somewhat more intense spiciness, finishing with a clean touch of dried fruits.
